Visa check by country: portal directory
Searching for one site that checks any visa? There is not one. Saudi Arabia runs Muqeem and the MOFA Visa Platform, Qatar runs its own Ministry of Interior lookup, and Nepal’s Department of Foreign Employment verifies work permits by passport number on dofe.gov.np, separate from any GCC visa. This directory lists the current official portal for Saudi Arabia, the GCC and dozens of other countries, plus exactly what each one asks for. Search or filter it below, then open the real government site.

How to use this visa check directory
Type a country, a portal name or a word like "passport number" into the search box, or pick a region from the dropdown. The table updates as you type. Every row links to the official portal for that service, and where we have a deeper guide, the last column links to it. We check nothing ourselves: you always finish the lookup on the government’s own site.

Which Saudi portal do I need?
Saudi Arabia runs several visa systems side by side, which is why so many people search for one that does not exist. The the MOFA Visa Platform (منصة التأشيرات), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs platform for issuing and checking visas applied for through Saudi missions and agents, now being unified under the KSA VISA platform, is where most Saudi visa applications still start. That platform is being folded into the newer the unified KSA VISA platform (منصة تأشيرات المملكة), the single Saudi visa platform bringing tourist eVisa, MOFA and other visa services under one entry point. Once you already hold an iqama, Muqeem (مقيم), the platform employers use for workers’ visas, and Absher (أبشر), the Ministry of Interior’s own portal for individuals, cover most day to day checks instead.
Still not sure which one is yours? Our guide to picking the right Saudi portal walks through it by what you hold: a passport number, an iqama, or an application reference from Enjaz.
Nepal’s DoFE visa and permit check by passport number
The Department of Foreign Employment (DoFE) is Nepal’s own agency, not a Saudi or GCC one. Open dofe.gov.np and use its licensed agency and permit search with your passport number to confirm a recruiting agency is legitimate and your foreign employment permit (Swikrit Mang) is genuine.
DoFE only covers the Nepal side: the pre-departure approval and agency licence. It does not show your Saudi, UAE or Qatari visa status. For that, use the row for your destination country in the table above, for example Muqeem or Absher for Saudi Arabia.
GCC visa check portals compared
Six GCC countries, six separate systems. This table is a quick reference; the full directory above has the exact service and inputs for each one.
| Country | Main portal | Sign in required? | Our guide |
|---|---|---|---|
| Saudi Arabia | Muqeem, Absher, MOFA Visa Platform | Sometimes, depends on the service | Which Saudi portal do I need |
| UAE | ICP Smart Services, GDRFA Dubai | No, for a basic status check | UAE visa check |
| Qatar | MOI visa inquiry, Hayya | No, for MOI inquiry; Hayya needs an account | Qatar visa check |
| Bahrain | NPRA eVisa, LMRA | No, for a status lookup | Bahrain visa check |
| Kuwait | Kuwait MOI eVisa | No, an application reference is enough | Kuwait visa check |
| Oman | ROP eVisa tracking | No, an application reference is enough | Oman visa check |
International portals for leavers and travellers
Plenty of readers here are also planning a move onward, whether that is a UK eVisa, a Schengen application tracked through VFS Global or TLScontact, or a return home to India, Pakistan, Egypt or Nepal. The directory above covers each of those, with the actual official domain and what it needs from you.
If a Saudi exit is part of that plan, settle the money side first. Work out what your employer owes you with our Saudi end of service calculator, then confirm the figure with them before your final exit visa is stamped.
What if your country is not listed?
Search the country name plus "official evisa" or "immigration portal", then check the domain: a real government site usually ends in .gov, .gov.uk, or the country’s own suffix such as .gov.np or .gov.eg. A status check is normally free on the genuine portal, so be cautious of any site that charges a fee just to look something up, or that asks for your passport number before showing any pricing.
Visa check by country: common questions
Is there one official website that checks every country’s visa status?
No single global portal exists. Each government runs its own visa or immigration system, so you need the exact portal for that country. This directory lists the current official site for Saudi Arabia, the GCC and dozens of other countries, so you can go straight to the right one instead of guessing.
How do I check my Nepal DoFE visa or permit by passport number?
Open the Department of Foreign Employment portal at dofe.gov.np, then use its licence and permit lookup with your passport number and agency details. DoFE tracks the Nepal side of the process, the pre-departure work permit, not your Saudi or GCC visa itself. Check those separately on the destination country’s own portal.
Why do fees and documents differ so much between countries?
Every country sets its own visa rules, fees and required documents, so there is no single standard. A Saudi exit re-entry visa, a UK eVisa and a Nepal work permit each follow different laws and government departments. Always confirm the current fee and document list on that country’s own official portal, not a third-party site.
What if my country is not in this directory?
Search the country name plus "official evisa" or "immigration portal", then look for a government domain such as .gov, .gov.uk or the country’s own suffix. Be wary of sites charging extra for a status check, since that is normally free on the real portal. Tell us and we will look at adding it.
Are VFS Global, TLScontact and BLS official government portals?
No. These are private companies that consulates and embassies contract to collect documents and biometrics on their behalf. They can track an application lodged through them, but they do not set visa policy or fees. The embassy or immigration department, not the visa centre, makes the actual decision.
Does this directory check my visa for me?
No. This page only points you to the correct official portal and explains what it needs. We never ask for your passport, visa, iqama or border number, and nothing you type here is sent anywhere. Every lookup happens on the government’s own website, in your browser, under their own privacy terms.
How often is this directory checked for accuracy?
We recheck the portals listed here on the date shown near the top of this page, and sooner if a country changes its system, as Kuwait did in 2025 when it moved its eVisa service to a new address. See our page on how we verify visa portal steps for the full method.
