The service did not close: it was absorbed into the the MOFA Visa Platform (منصة التأشيرات), which is the Ministry of Foreign Affairs platform for issuing and checking visas applied for through Saudi missions and agents, now being unified under the KSA VISA platform. Interestingly, the new platform still carries the Enjaz name inside its own web address for the individual and business enquiry pages, which is a useful sign you are in the right place.

The application (E-) number, explained

Every Saudi visa application gets a reference number once it is submitted through the platform. People often call this an "E-number" because Enjaz generated it, and recruitment offices and agents still use that shorthand. It is not one fixed pattern of digits: the length and layout you see depend on when the application was made and which service issued it, so treat any single example online as illustrative rather than a rule to match against.

Here is where to find your actual number rather than guessing at a format:

1. Check the application receipt or confirmation your recruitment office or sponsor gave you when the visa was submitted.
2. Look through any email from the agency handling your visa, since the reference is usually quoted there.
3. Ask your employer or recruitment office directly if you cannot find a receipt; they hold the record.
4. Enter the number exactly as given, including any leading zeros, into the enquiry field the portal offers for it.

If you have no reference at all, your employer or the office that arranged your work visa can look it up on their side of the platform, since they hold the organisation-level record.

How to check your status on the current platform

The MOFA Visa Platform groups its enquiry tool under a section for applications already submitted. You do not need an account to run a single check; you need the reference number and your passport.

1. Open the MOFA Visa Platform using the button above (it opens visa.mofa.gov.sa in a new tab).
2. Find the section for checking a submitted application, sometimes labelled around "inquiry about submitted applications" (الاستعلام عن الطلبات التي تم تقديمها).
3. Choose the search method that matches what you hold, such as application number, visa request number or visa document number.
4. Enter your reference number, then your passport number in the matching field.
5. Type the verification image code exactly as shown, since it is case-sensitive.
6. Submit the enquiry and read the status, which typically shows as pending, approved, under review or rejected.

The MOFA Visa Platform mainly covers the application stage, before you enter Saudi Arabia. Once you arrive and your iqama is issued, residency and exit re-entry checks move to the General Directorate of Passports (الجوازات), the Saudi passports and immigration authority under the Ministry of Interior that issues iqamas, exit and re-entry visas and border numbers, through its own systems such as Muqeem and Absher. An Enjaz or MOFA check tells you the visa was approved and stamped; it does not track you once you are living and working in the Kingdom.

What "visa stamping status" actually means

An approved application is not the final step. Stamping is the process of attaching the visa to your passport, either as a printed page for a self-print visa or as a physical endorsement added by an authorised office. Many applicants outside Saudi Arabia never do this step themselves: a recruitment agency or travel office submits the passport on their behalf once the application shows approved.

• Approved: the visa has been granted. Your agent can now proceed to stamping or you can print an eVisa where that option applies.
• Pending or under review: the application has not reached a decision yet, so there is nothing to stamp.
• Stamped or issued: the visa is now attached to the passport and ready for travel; your agent or the platform confirms this stage.

If an agency is handling stamping for you, the fastest way to move things along is to ask them directly rather than repeatedly rechecking the portal, since the stamping step often happens outside the online system entirely, at a physical counter.

The MOFA Visa Platform separates its enquiry tools by who is asking. This matters because typing your details into the wrong path will not return your application.

If you work through a recruitment office or your employer arranged the visa, they may hold details on the business path that never reach your own inbox. It is worth asking them directly rather than assuming the individual path will show everything.
